How To Change Career

Before you start...

If you're thinking about how to change career, the first thing to consider is yourself. And not just what you like doing or what you're good at. Start with who you are.

Because if you don't know who you are how will you know what's right or what's best for you?

Most of the career advice nowadays concentrates on finding your strengths, the things you have been good at, and continuing with those. More than likely, this was the suggestion to you when you left school and were making your first career choices.

Following that advice, you're now in a position where you need to change career because the one you're in isn't aligned with who you are.

But what about you?

So who are you? Do you first of all think of your name? Or your occupation? Or are you the person who owns all the things you have. Because this is typically how people know who they are. Which means they have to keep all of these things around them intact. Otherwise they have a sense of somehow losing a part of themselves.

What's this got to do with how to change career, you might ask? Well, if your identity, your sense of yourself, is tied up with what you do, it's no wonder changing career is such a big deal for people. They literally have to reorganize how it is that they know they exist in the world. And, of course, this is no small undertaking!

But!

What if you knew your own internal signals that let you know that you exist, that you're okay? What if you had an internal system that was completely under your control, so that you have a constant sense of yourself, regardless of what's happeningin the world around you?

This may be a strange idea to some of you, and yet it's the way that people who are very successful operate their lives. They start with a very strong and profound sense of themselves. And they use a decision making process that holds this constant, without compromise.

The way to go!

So when it comes to something such as how to change career, they understand very quickly what's right for them and what they should be doing. Because they have a very strong sense of what activities would allow them to be absolutely true to themselves.

And they have very particular decision making skills that makes this whole process effortless for them.

It also means that they're not seeking a career change in order to find themselves. And the career choice they make is deliberately and intentionally designed to allow them to manifest even more of who they are in the world.
